For summer 2011 you are still going to see Ombre hair color. Ombre is just a fancy word/term for ROOTS. It’s a look that has been in style with hair color for the past couple of years and is still a sought after trend, especially for spring/summer. The concept for this trend is that it allows the color to melt from dark at the root to a brighter lighter shade on the midshaft and ends. What I love about this technique is that it works with every  hair color Brunette, Red, and of course Blonde. Although it is being worn best in gold tones, varying from soft beige blondes to honey/caramel brunettes. You can see from these images that the style is slightly different in each picture. My prediction is that you will start to see color contouring more from the top of the head again, almost like a traditional hilite but with the focus being a few brighter pieces around the face(focus foils) rather than a whole head of foils….. no one is wearing a full head of foils anymore. It’s all about lived in, worn out color that looks effortless and uncontrived. Ask your stylist and stay groomed in the golden era. Happy styling k*.
